I have 20-plus years of experience in communications, first as a writer/editor for weekly and monthly cable TV guides, circulation 1.5 million, and then as a reporter for a daily newspaper, specializing in features and entertainment.
As the Internet evolved I repositioned myself and added the technical skills that would allow me to transition into online marketing and public relations.
I create visibility for organizations, first by giving them a presence on the World Wide Web through web sites and social media and second by establishing their value as media sources. I've generated stories in The Huffington Post, The Washington Post and The New York Times.
I also establish and maintain internal communications programs, which are increasingly popular with organizations that have learned that good internal communications can impact the bottom line. One of those companies is Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, an international pharmaceutical company committed to a robust internal communications program.
Another organization I currently provide internal communications and external communications for, in my capacity as CEO of Guaranteed Press, is the NYS Association of Area Agencies on Aging, a statewide network of human services agencies.
